About
Written by GaProgManImagine there is a pandemic, forcing people to stay at home. Imagine the pubs, bars, and all other music venues have closed.
Now imagine that one man stepped (Chap-stepped?) up and created something - not just a weekly live DJ set, but a community.
Mr. B the Gentleman Rhymer did exactly that. During “the year which shall not be named”, he started a weekly stream on his MixCloud page; offering fans of music (both his and music in general) a space to make new friends from all over the globe - not bad for a flaneur who avoids work like the plague.
During one of the, so-called “Niceolation” parties, the idea was floated that we all have
an old-school, knees-up style rave when all of this is over
This put the collective creativity of the “Nice Biscuits” (the collective noun for the attendees of the Niceolations) into overdrive and resulted in the website that you are now reading.
The idea behind BiscuitCon was to attempt to arrange some kind of party to celebrate the end of the pandemic; a party for all of the Nice Biscuits, Mr. B (and Lady C, of course), Super Dickie, and anyone else.
As the Biscuits are globally distributed, B floated the idea of the celebration taking place on the Isle of Wight. At the time of writing the location still very much “up for grabs”, as the tentative date for the event is
Sometime in the summer of 2023
This website is an attempt at a landing page, planning space, and a place for event details - once they’ve been turned into something a little more concrete.
Stay tuned, and we’ll update you as things move along.
